Proposal mode and direct edit mode
Choose whether addressed edits enter a review proposal or apply immediately.

Each channel has an edit policy.
Proposal mode is the default. An addressed edit becomes a proposal with Apply, Edit proposal and Dismiss before it changes the board. This is useful when several people collaborate on the same diagram. It is a review workflow, not a strict owner-only approval gate for every mutation path.
Direct mode applies addressed edits immediately and creates the next version. When a non-owner applies an edit in either mode, the current owner receives a DM unless they have muted this board or all apply alerts.
Change the policy with /arialine edits proposal or /arialine edits direct, or use the channel settings controls in App Home. Only explicitly addressed requests can edit a diagram in either mode.
